All I see is the response to Dan Quayle years ago. I know humid, and you, sir, are not humid.

I saw this in the paper and two things raced through my head. First was this would scare the piss out of me and second was I wonder how long before Hollywood gets a hold of this and turns it into a movie.

TOKYO-- A homeless woman who sneaked into a man's house and lived undetected in his closet for a year was arrested in Japan after he became suspicious when food mysteriously began disappearing.

Police found the 58-year-old woman Thursday hiding in the top compartment of the man's closet and arrested her for trespassing, police spokesman Hiroki Itakura said yesterday.

The resident of the home in Kasuya installed security cameras that transmitted images to his mobile phone after becoming puzzled by food disappearing from his kitchen over the past several months.

One of the cameras captured someone moving inside his home Thursday after he had left, and he called police believing it was a burglar. However, when they arrived they found the door locked and all windows closed.

"We searched the house...checking everywhere someone could possibly hide," Itakura said. "When we slid open the shelf closet, there she was, nervously curled up on her side."

The woman told police she had no place to live and first sneaked into the man's house about a year ago when he left it unlocked.

She had moved a mattress into the small closedt space and even took showers, Itakura said, calling the woman "neat and clean."

I shall be up all night because of a guy named Tom Piccirilli: a package just made its way to my side door from Amazon, containing The Fever Kill, The Midnight Road and The Cold Spot ... can a person die from lack of sleep, due to reading 24 hours a day?

Another random thought that has to do with the truly demented (demented in a cool way) mind of Tom Piccirilli: The further I get in to A Choir of Ill Children, the more freaky the scenes with Thomas' conjoined brothers get; they grow more and more weird in a way that makes me dread seeing them hobbling along in my dreams ... Mr. Piccirilli, your descriptions are beyond intense and creepy.

Other than that, I wish it was Autumn.

It is so nice to watch the evening news, or even pick up a newspaper and not read about the democratic primary anymore.

I know its short lived with the conventions and the elections coming up, but I swear I almost was catatonic from all the coverage the last few months.

And I'm not saying that its replacement; floods, war, murder, and general mayhem is preferable to Obama/Clinton bashing, I'm just saying its nice not to listen or have to watch politics for a while.

I find it fascinating when you guys talk about humidity. On the rare occasions in UK when it is humid, it's never really that humid.

I've only read 2 Tom Piccirrilli books, A Lower Deep & A Choir of Ill Children. I enjoyed them both immensely. I'll always remember the first line to Choir, 'We move in spasms'. It really moved me and I still remember it after all this time! I'll have to buy some more Piccirilli soon. Unfortunately me and my fiance always seem to be broke.

It's 15:50 here and I'm still at work. Me and my fiance work in the same office, so work's never that bad. I can't wait to get home and have a cigarette and a glass of the rose wine I bought at lunch. I don't very often drink rose. If I fancy a glass of wine it's usually red, but most of the time I drink beer.

Well good luck to you and your spouse to be! I am assuming you are a woman with a handle like Raven and a Rose' wine drinker, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I was going to say if you do purchase another Pic novel I would recommend November Mourns. You'll know what humidity really feels like when you read this novel.

Good luck to you! Have you guys set a date for the wedding? Are we all invited? We could all bring books as gifts! Well most of us would, I'm not sure what Horrordude would bring. Hey, you could get married here in the States and make it easier for all of us to attend!

Just kidding. Canada might be a better place for a wedding.

I am indeed a woman, but don't let the rose wine fool you. It's the first time I've fancied any in over a year. Like I said, I'm usually a beer drinker. I'm not a 'girly' girl.

November Mourns it is! Who knows when I'll have the money to buy it though, probably in a couple of months time. I tend to buy 2nd hand books because they're cheaper, but most importantly I love the smell. It's one of my favourite things. The mustier the better! I'll let you know what I think when I've read it.

We have yet to set the date for the wedding. Although I should probably get a move on with that because my fiance is not getting any younger, lol! I jest, he's only 45. Of course my fab new Horror World friends would be invited.
