I don't know if it was part of an official trilogy or not, but Bite was pretty good, I thought. The thing about his vampire novels (all three of them actually, so maybe they were part of some trilogy) is that you're really not sure if they're really vampire novels at all. They're firmly based in reality, our reality, in so far as few people nowadays actually believe in vampires. The books aren't set in any fantasy vampire world or anything like that. You read the book, and everyone in it doubts that there are really vampires, and even as a reader, you aren't sure if that's where he's going with it or not. Kind of cool.
