Well...Tonight was fun. Remember, it's not a party until the cops are called and someone goes to the mental hospital. The cat pic made me laugh. I definitely needed that.

Things would be working out okay if only her dad would grow a pair. She's hurting a lot. There's nothing else I can do for her. We both know she needs away from here (not just away from me, but out of Virginia). She wants to go home and try to get the help she desperately needs, but her "daddy" (Bitch as I have now dubbed him) won't let her because 1) "Mommy" says no. 2) We're still "married". 3) "Mommy" says no. 4) She needs to ask him. 5) "Mommy" says no. He lives in Tennessee and her mom lives in Pennsylvania. They're going through a divorce. It got so bad last night that I had to call the cops a second time not even 5 minutes after they left. Talked to one of them while she was getting dressed and he told me that they weren't even three blocks away when our address popped up again. What really gets me, is that things are really looking up for her. She just started a new job this week. Now she has two doctors offices that want to hire her. They just started calling Wednesday. She was supposed to do a phone interview with one today.

Things are looking up. FIL decided to grow a pair and is trying to work out a way to come get her this weekend or next. Hopefully, he finally gets to see the kind of emotional and mental damage his wife has done.

Next project: Getting my roommate some anger management. Someone told him that they heard he had a small penis. He got angry and destroyed some stuff.

Thanks. I hope things work out now. Save up to get a cheap car and then find a cheap live aboard boat for just me and Shelley. Downsizing will probably do me a lot of good.

Fuck Virginia. Told by the po-po to go get an order of protection from the magistrate. Not so, says the magistrate. I have to wait until the domestic court opens on Monday.

Her dad won't come and get her because of some bullshit legal mumbo-jumbo about how even if I get the OP and a restraining order, I have to let her live in the house. Her "friends" said that she can come live with them, but now that it's shut up or put up, they are making excuses. I don't want her to be homeless but she simply can't stay here. I don't want either of us on the evening news.

She called me and asked me to get a hold of her work tomorrow and explain that she's still in the hospital. I agreed. She asked me what I was doing at the moment and I told her I was getting some money from the bank so I could fill up her tank. Then she started trying to pick up where she left off on Friday. I informed her that I was filing for an order of protection and a restraining order first thing in the morning. Her response was to tell me she was going to hang up and call the cops on me. Report her car as stolen so I would get arrested.

She's gone. For good this time. Don't know where she'll be living, but only she will be back for the rest of her stuff is with deputies...

2 As, a B, and a C. Not bad. Only grades that count are the two As. registered for the summer semester. Could only get 6 credit hours. Which will probably be a good thing. Before I can start paying, the school needs to decide on the tuition rate.

I keep thinking about the pictures that the FBI posted in regards to the Boston bombing. Two different views. One imagine that is you and you had nothing to do with it. Suddenly you are everywhere and people are automatically seeing you as guilty. You would be in danger from every side. You would be frightened about turning yourself in because come on anyone see a little harsh questioning coming. I do. Your family is going to look at you differently. Hell everyone is going to look at you differently. Your life would change and not for the better I think.
On the other hand I keep thinking what if that person is the one and he was your best friend. Or your brother. Or your son? How the hell would you deal with that? You would have to turn him in. Would you try to talk to him about it? Would he pose a danger to you? Try to kill you to keep you quiet?
Either view sucks bad.

I just hope they do catch the correct people or person. I have to admit I am pretty much totally curious if they are home grown or from another country. In a way a home grown terrorist might just be better. At least we wouldn't feel the need to go destroy another country.

Also, the guys manning the VA desk at the school are idiots. Talked to them and they said I only get 1/2 pay for the summer semester. Something sounded wrong, so I called the VA help line. Because 6 is more than 4.5, I'll be getting 3/4 pay. Also, I was informed that my days left will adjusted accordingly which will actually come in handy because it will mean that the fall semester will be covered as well. My Post-9/11 will kick in starting with the new year. But now I'm a holding patter because I can't pay for the summer semester until the board of directors decides on what the tuition rate will be. From what admissions told me, it's expected to go up $5. Which is cool, it means it'll come in under budget and I'll be able to have it paid off by June. Depending on the computer science book.

Remember the buddy of mine who wrote a book and was singing from the treetops about it and how everyone needs to have this book. I caved when it was free on my kindle. Now to read a genre I don't normally read. I hope I don't hate it LOL

We have gophers. What the hell am I supposed to do about gophers?????? (that doesn't involve killin' and slaughterin' and poisonin' everything in sight?) Little bastards have taken over about a quarter of the lawn.

We have armadillos. Not quite as bad as prairie dogs, but worse than moles. If only they would eat the weeds... can we train them to do that? That would be awesome.

Context: Travis has a cat that HATES to let him out of her sight. She's figured out how to open the bathroom door and usually does it when he's in there or she thinks he's in there. He was complaining about that. One of his drinking buddies came back with that.
