Well, there have been a couple of flipper babies...yeah.

I just finished One Missed Call. The direction was uninspired. The acting was laughable. The detective looked like he should be in school with the other college students.

The movie felt rhed, but in it's defense, when you have a plot that goes back and forth between not making sense and just being ridiculous it's probably best not to give the audience much time to dwell on things.

The only interesting thing about it was that I learned it's not only a remake of a japanese movie but is also based on a novel, "Chakushin", by Yasushi Akimoto, which I'll be looking for tomorrow.

If you watch it at all make sure to watch The Orphanage immediately afterward just to see how a director with ideas can make a ghost story come alive.

The Orphanage is a damn fine piece of art.

I'll have to watch Orphanage next.

I just got done watching Inside: a French horror film that blew me away and freaked me out big time.

If anyone wants to see a movie that looks like it was one of Richard Laymon's worst nightmares put to film, watch Inside! Oh man, scary, weird, surreal in parts, gory, sick, you name it, I felt it with this one.

This movie (Inside) has got to be the worst nightmare for any woman who has been pregnant. The way this guy directed it was like watching a film by a demonic Alfred Hitchcock. I'll buy this DVD for my collection.

Beowulf was like watching a video game. Movies like that with a weird animation-like fuzz over them are so cool to watch.

Another one I thought looked real cool was Polar Express.

You poor girl.

It was the worse movie that I have watched this year.

Even worse than an Uwe Boll movie?

Bloodrayne was worse, but I think I wasted my time on that flick last year. Or was it two years ago now?

Netlfix sent me Alien vs. Predator: Requiem by mistake a couple of weeks ago. Normally I don't think about lighting when I watch a movie, but in AVPR you can't help it. It's so dark, you can't see what's going on in about 25% of the movie. Watching little baby aliens pop out of people's stomachs is always a good time, but Predator I have to say is lame. The most offensive thing about the cardboard-cutout acting was that they took it seriously - you're in a crap sequel folks, have some fun with it! Lower your expectations, and you might enjoy some of this. Rumor has it that the first AVP was even worse - that is truly terrifying.

AVPR sucked, sucked, sucked. We watched 20 minutes and turned it off. What a waste of a perfectly good disc, packaging and postage.

I liked the first AVP so I was expecting more.

I just watched a little movie called "Population 436" starring Jeremy Sisto and Fred Durst. I enjoyed it quite a lot, although I didn't like the ending that much (but then, the DVD has an alternate ending).

The movie is about a censor who drives to the small town of Rockwell Falls to see why its population hasn't changed for the last 100 years.

Anyone seen it?
