I'm not sure any of you are willing to do this, but I'd like to ask anyway.

The company I work for, Nielsen (formerly AC Nielsen), is outsourcing jobs to India. Right now I'm training my replacement (although, that's not what they tell us). I figure I've got 5-6 months before the ax falls. Jobs are scarce around here and tech jobs are even rarer and I'm starting to worry.

This won't save my job but at least it will turn up the heat on Nielsen a little more and maybe, just maybe, catch the eye of the mainstream media.

We can't keep allowing this to go on! Pretty soon they'll be no decent jobs left in this country.

I feel strongly about this issue, there will be no middle class in this country if the current policies on outsourcing American jobs continue.

I do my part at work by refusing to purchase goods oversea's whenever possible. This is more difficult as there are fewer North American companies (yes I do purchase equipment from Canada) that are still in buisness catering to my profession.

So far I am one of the lucky ones who still has a job in manufacturing, but I worry about it constantly. We have lost all of our large volume jobs to China. And when new buisness comes in, I ask the customers what will happen to it if the product takes off and the volume substantially increases...and I can see in the customers eyes that they will take it oversea's if that happens even if they say it will stay.

This all started with Rockerfeller's and Nixon's 'New World Order' and they along with thier cabal have managed through time to make it happen. It allows the wealthy to spread thier base and mitigate any losses if the U.S. gets into a war that brings the country to a halt. It cripples our manufacturing abilities to respond to a prolonged war since almost everything now has at least portions of its make up manufactured oversea's.

The very leaders we elected to protect us, the very companies we purchased goods from so they could employ us, have betrayed us.

Sorry about the political rant...I don't do this often but this issue is very personal to me.

This is really bad. Last week I was in training class for SSIS and there was a bit of talk among the DBAs and Developers about how many database jobs are going overseas.

I hope will congress will get a clue, but I don't really think so. Have you considered a mob dragging the CEO or Board of Directors out to a parking lot for an old fashioned tarring and feathering. If not with the real people, at least in effigy. That might make national news.

My dad just got forced into early retirement. Jobs in the auto sector are are disappearing by the thousands here in Ontario. Not a good time.

I read today that 2000 more jobs went up in smoke as Progressive Moulded Products Ltd. (makes plastic instrument panels for automobiles) closed down eleven small plants in Rexdale and Concord.
