Read, The Cold Spot by Tom Piccirilli.

I just finished this yesterday. This book just plain kicks ass. One of the greatest revenge novels I've ever read.

If anyone on here needs one of those satisfying revenge reads that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go until you turn the last page and say, "Damn!" Then make sure you read this one.

Piccirilli created a razor-sharp, bad-ass in writing the character of Jonah, Chase's grandfather in the novel. This guy could chew broken glass, spit the bloody chunks back in your face and make you wish you were never born. One of the most stone cold characters I've ever read.

Tom does such a good job of giving flesh and bone to the character Lila, that you wind up actually getting pissed off when certain things happen in the middle of the book, like she's your sister or something. These characters jump out at you in the dead of night and say, "I'm not just words, I'm real!"

I rate this one a tie with November Mourns as the best from The Pic Man that I've read yet. And I still have about another seven of his novels to read, until I can say I've read all of them.

Great storytelling that cuts like a knife.
