Bad covers

I thought I saw a thread about bad covers but I can't seem to find it. I did, however, run across this really bad cover. It looks like they photoshopped this guy's head over a Fabio body:

No, it's an erotic romance book of short stories. I have several Ellora's Cave books. (Not this one, though.) EC started out as an e-book company, and they still publish e-books. However, if you look at many (if not most) e-book publishers, you'll find a lot of them have some pretty crappy cover art. I have noticed, when I've been in the bookstores lately, that some of the books seem to have better art these days.

E-books often have Poser (or Poser-type, anyway) people on them, although they often use models, as well.

I have to say this is a really bad cover. It couldn't look cheesier or be less "sexy" if they tried. It's so bad it could turn straight women gay and gay men straight....

Thing is, as bad as this one is, I've seen far worse. Look at some of the ebook covers, and you'll see.

Um, not all of the erotic romances are soft-core. I mean, they may not be quite as hardcore as straight-up erotica, but most romances have sex in them. Erotic romances tend to have more explicit sex, often using more crude or "dirty" terminology. Furthermore, there are threesome erotic romances (two men, one women, generally) available, for those who want them. Some have bisexual and gay romance. There's also S&M.
