To be read pile?

I wish i had a tbr pile,right now i only have 3 books,

,how do you get so many books? and for those of you who have so many,do you sell them when you're finished?

cid. I don't sell my books. Some I keep, some get passed on to friends or Bill's co-workers (the officers are really into horror), but most end up in the donation box for my soldier's book drives that I do several times a year.

As to how I get so many books in TBR pile: I buy some, I belong to book clubs, some are passed on to me and some just seem to appear on there own. I think they're multiplying.

And our local library has a couple of book sales each year. You can pick up quite a few books at very little cost.

My full TBR batch is probably around 70 books, most of which are so far down the list its unlikely they will ever be read (but still a small chance so they stay on the shelf).
as to what I do with the ones I've finished with, I keep them and put them in order on my finished shelf from favorite to least favorite book. I know it's odd but it's fun for me.

I buy several at Half-Price Bookstore, Goodwill, garage sales and the occasional new book (Such as Ramsey Campbell's ones that I can't wait that long for).

You should check out Ramsey's new opening page for his website. He has a very good article there about the fact that he writes horror and how that is percieved by others. Some people had a problem with it, I don't know why. I found it refreshing and inspiring.

Hey, good news for me. After adding my newest books to LibraryThing, my TBR pile is actually only 131 books. Gotta get going if I'm gonna get it down to 100 by the end of the year.
