Every now and again someone will talk to me about putting advertising on my blog. I usually shrug it off. I tried using Adsense for a very short period of time when the blog was new and I hated it. It made me feel dirty. Lately this blog has been getting a lot of traffic. For the past five months or so it's been getting about 10,000 hits per month. Last month it did just under 11,000. This month it's on track to get about 15,000 hits. Not bad. My blog is growing. I figure 90% of the people that come here read horror fiction. After a bit of thinking, and a bit of soul-searching, I've decided to stick a toe back into the advertising pool. But I don't want to clutter my site up with stupid shit like 'debt repayment' and 'credit card consolidation'. This is a horror blog. If I'm going to sell something I want it to be horror related. I've decided to promote a few horror books - books that I can get behind. So I don't feel dirty. And I've decided to do it dirt cheap. Ten bucks. If you've written an AWESOME HORROR NOVEL and you want to give it some dirt cheap advertising, send me a message. Include: An image of the book 350 words or less about the book Your Amazon link I'll post your book info here on the blog, add your book to our bookstore, link the post to Amazon, and tweet the shit out of it (minimum 10 tweets - but probably closer to 20-25). Oh... by the way. Right now I have four twitter accounts with a combined following of over 11,000 people. So those tweets will get seen. I guess I should add that charging a measly ten bucks is pretty much me promoting your book for free, when you consider the time it'll take me to set up your post and tweet you. And how many books would you need to sell to have it pay out? Two? Maybe three? Because I don't NEED to advertise - I just sorta want to - I'm not sure how long I'm going to offer this.
