This is going to be a short newsletter Lots of things have happened over the last few months, and I've tried to keep everyone posted, but really should do a better job. 2. Velvet Dogma. A brand new science fiction novel that was just released. Velvet Dogma has been compared to PK Dick and William Gibson. That's someone else's comparison, not mine. My hubris isn't of sufficient stature to place myself among these giants. I do owe credit to and my mind was stimulated by Gibson's Neuromancer, however. That novel along with Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash are two of the best cyberpunk novels ever written-- hell, best science fiction novels written. You'll notice this in Velvet Dogma the influence. Thanks to both these literary genius gentlemen for laying such a brilliant foundation for me to play upon. Also a shout out to Danielle Tunstall for the art and Collette Von Tora for modeling the cover. Everyone is raving about it. Velvet Dogma is currently available through Smashwords, Barnes and Nobles and Amazon. Try this link - 3. Blood Ocean. This is my second book contracted with Abaddon Books. Empire of Salt was the first. Well, I just finished it. Yesterday morning I tacked on the two words -- The End. It's part of Abaddon's Afterblight series and is an original stand alone novel. The cover art and the book is already posted for preorder on Amazon. Check out the art and the synopsis. 4. Empire of Salt. My zombie novel from Abaddon Books has been sold out in the U.S. since spring. It's still available in digital and also in Canada and U.K. in paperback. Still getting fan mail about this one. If you like zombies and you haven't read this one, well, where have you been? 5. Nancy Goats. Published by Medium Rare Books in June. Undead Rat blurbs the story wonderfully: "Nancy Goats is violent but not gory. It’s full of hatred and dehumanization because of differences between people. And it’s about one young man who has struggled to make an identity for himself and then having to fight to resist the Family Pain’s attempt to brutalize and strip away his humanity; lest Paco truly becomes a goat." It's also available on Amazon as a digital short, or at Darkside Digital. There are still some hardcover copies too. The art by Danielle Sera alone is worth checking it out. 6. Blog and Roll. If you aren't linked to my blog, then you missed such posts recently as Why I Hate Kevin J. Anderson. His fans got enraged over it. Kevin spent a weekend dealing with his Twitter exploding over my posting and answering questions about a fictional new Star Wars series I said he was writing. Kevin's a friend so he laughed about it-- mostly. I also have a heavy Facebook and Twitter presence if you just want the occasional WTF is Weston doing.
