Some of your fans are wondering if you are still in the publishing business. It has been quite some time since you brought a book out.

Eleven months since I started this thread. Kings Way Press has the exact same amount of books published. The Facebook page seems full of hype. That old pipeline of projects sure is stuffed!

The Kings Way Press website has been closed.

The website has returned. Not sure what happened. It was showing a 'this website has been closed' message for a few days.

Will we ever see these 6 KWP books? I hope so, but they've been 'forthcoming' for a long, long time.

Got an email from KWP dated 7-27 that said:

I will be issuing a new newsletter later in the week/weekend that will be chock full of good news for all who have been patient and hung in there with both me and KWP.
While I have had some serious personal issues in the last year, KWP is still working on many great things behind the scenes and with each day, the press is getting stronger, not weaker.
Bear with me and we will continue to have a long lifetime partnership.
Looking forward to sharing the latest news later in the week!

Anyways, that newsletter has yet to arrive...........

So it's now been over a month since Zach said he would send out a newsletter. Since then he's sent out a mini-newsletter containing a few sentences (apparently he's had the flu) which includes some pictures of the trade edition of one of the long awaited books.
Hardly inspiring stuff.

Meanwhile Raymond Benson (one of KWP's authors) has appeared on the Cemetery Dance website describing Zach as "the most unprofessional person I've ever met in the publishing business".

As someone who paid upfront for a number of books over 2 years ago I'd like to cling to the idea that I may one day see the books I've ordered but I very much doubt it.

I'm not sure that anyone still reads these threads but..

27th July - KWP send out an email stating that a newsletter will be released later in the week.
16th September - newsletter finally released - It's the 1st of 3 newsletters!
3rd November - 2nd newsletter still hasn't been sent out!

He apparently took almost 2 months to send out the 1st newsletter due to the flu. The second has been delayed because of his migraines.

If the frustration of not receiving books years after paying for them wasn't bad enough you get this hope of receiving information about the books and it takes forever to arrive.
I totally appreciate that KWP seems to be a one man show run by a guy who has a full time job and if the 1st newsletter is to be believed has had no luck in running the press.

However, it doesn't change the fact that dealing with KWP has been one of the most frustrating experiences in my many years of small press book collecting.

18th December -

5 months after promising 3 newsletters detailing the future of KWP only 1 has been sent out.

On the 27th November Zach launched a Black Friday sale (for books that have been listed on his website for over 3 years and still haven't been published!)
He also said a 'traditional newsletter ' would be released tonight (27th November).
I have seen no sign of this newsletter.

If someone was to release a guide on how not to run a publishing company then I'm fairly sure that KWPs dismal efforts would be included in the guide.

Has anyone actually received the book 'The Ghosts of Benevolence'. I was under the impression that copies had been sent out to US customers but KWP was still waiting on the traycases.

Anyone?
