Some amazing new reviews for WILLY have been appearing lately. This is one of my favorites. “Very much an example of adult horror, with all the intelligence, sophistication and ambiguity that implies. A provocative and even compelling reading experience with a flawlessly evoked protagonist whose psychological problems, despite their possibly supernatural origins, are heartbreakingly real and immediate.” ~ Terrorflicks Excerpts from numerous reviews can be found here: |

This is still one of my favorite reviews: “Only a writer of unusual talent and discipline could create such an assured and impressive novel.” |

A new review site apparently. Anyone checked them out yet? “Dunbar weaves a tale of fantasy, unreality, insanity, and possibilities that leave the reader dazzled… dark, disturbing, and haunting. A must-read.” ~ Horror Novel Reviews |

I was happily ensconced in a book of poetry -- Adriano Bulla's "Queer Poems" -- when I was stunned to happen across this in the acknowledgements section: “Robert Dunbar … whose Willy and whose genius have deeply influenced these verses.” Can't help but feel this might be misinterpreted. |
