David and David, Where and/or who does the cover images for you ebooks? The font and some of the art remind of the Leisure paperbacks. Not all - Nightjack certainly doesn't, but quite a few of them do. I've been wondering about this for a few weeks now.

Craig, Sorry, just now seeing this question. Our covers come from a variety of places. Some, like Nightjack, are painted covers by professional artists. The cover for Sineater was painted/done by Beth Massie's other half. I've even done some of the covers and will be doing some of the upcoming ones as well and mine somewhat have that Leisure feel to them. The next two books that I edit, one that I will finish tonight and the other one from a new Crossroad Press author that I hope to have finished before Halloween, will likely have covers that I did. There are several other sources for our covers, some of which I don't even know who created them. David W. can probably give more specifics as he handles the majority of the work in getting the covers finished. David |

Craig, like Dave said, we have a lot of different artists we work with. The ones that remind you of Leisure are mostly done by Neil Jackson...he and I have a good working relationship, and he's done some remarkable work for us. We've branched out, though, and not all covers are coming from any single source now. It's important to diversify, I think, but also important to keep the quality consistent. Occasionally authors come to us with their own art - Ronald Kelly, and Steve Tem, for instance. |
