Isn't that great? Dave Lange did it. He's done all my Severed Press stuff. Really great artist. I love the EC horror/Tales from the Crypt look to it. It's gonna be a really fun book, I think. Zombie stories, as you've probably figured. Some reprints from small press mags over the years, a few unpublished ones, and two novellas to bookend the whole thing written just for ZP. The first one is SHELTER. A group of survivors in a shelter play a lottery to see who gets thrown to the undead outside, sacrificed to them so the others might survive. The system works...until one of their number rebels at the inhumanity of it. The other novella is MORBID ANATOMY. THis one is set on the battlefields of World War I and features Lovecraft's character, Herbert West. There's a segment in HERBERT WEST REANIMATOR where Lovecraft tells us a bit about West's experiences in WWI...but that wasn't enough for me. I took the general idea and blew it up into 38,000 word novella, angling it from the perspective of West's medical colleague (the guy from the original story) and an imbedded American journalist observing from the British trenches. Lots of walking dead, of course, but a good perspective (I think) on the horror of that conflict...no wars are good, but some are just a little more gruesome than others. |

Excellent cover, Tim. Can't wait to grab this, either this month or the next. I'm glad Ttzuma does all the author board updates, because I didn't even know this was out yet. |

I finished this today. I'm not a fan of zombies, but I liked how every story handled them differently, giving us different takes. Emily and Morbid Anatomy were my favorites, and I think the latter may rival Tim's story from Four Rode Out as the best things I've read of his. I also want to mention my liking Corps Cadavre for its more unique twist on the undead. Thanks, Tim. After reading these stories, I definitely can't wait for Bone Marrow Stew. Thad |

I'm on this now. Read the first two stories so far and loved them. I'd been growing a bit jaded with the zomnie genre but so far, Zombie Pulp is a fairly original take on it. Both stories so far have had the trademark Curran wise ass narative style that I love. Like the story is being told by some grumpy old timer around a camp fire. |

I really, really liked the analogies in They Walk By Night. Hilarious stuff. I could read that stuff all day. "I could feel it like a fat man can feel cool air blowing up through a hole in the seat of his pants". Classic. |

It's great. I've read half and have put it down to pick up again later. As someone who's gotten a bit jaded with zombies, I'm finding this collection pretty refreshing. |

Glad to hear it! I was particularly happy for a chance to do the Herbert West novella which is something I've wanted to do for a long time now. |
