Holy Cow! This might be the best Tim Curran I have ever read! It's right up there with Dead Sea anyhow. This has got to be the strongest writing I've seen from Tim. Curran fans...eat this one up!!! |

Tim, have you ever been to Hooksett, New Hampshire? Tt |

No. Never been there. A guy I work with, his wife was born there. When he told me Hooksett...I had to use it! Great name for a town!! |

I just finished the first Hive a couple of days ago. Loved it. It seems to be the lowest rated of Tim's on Amazon for some reason. I read a few of those reviews and they seem mostly to be talking from out of their anuses. Hive will be shortly getting a five star Amazon review from me. |

The Spawning makes up for what was lacking in The Hive in spades. Tt |

What do you think was lacking in Hive? Without spoiling The Spawning for me of course. |

I thought it a bit flat to be honest with you. The usual tension that makes Tim's books so compelling seemed to have been taken down a notch in The Hive. It's been a while now since I've read it, but I also remember not connecting to the characters as much as I like to. There are no such problems for me in The Spawning. With Nanci's good graces, there should be a review on The Spawning right here in Horrorworld around October 1st in the review section. Tt |

Oh, man, that's too bad! Sorry to hear about Hooksett (still love that name...I wonder what the origin of it is?) |

What is it about the reviews section you don't care for? |

It's just that I don't understand how such a great story could have poor or mediocre reviews. I know different folks have different opinions and all that but I found as much to enjoy in Hive as I have in the rest of Tim's stuff. The talking from anuses line was just a joke. |

Thanks Tony for that great review! And John I would very much appreciate a nice review of Hive. I see one of its detractors has already left a three star review for The Spawning. If any of you guys feel like countering that I would much appreciate it! |

Thanks very much, John. I like Ed Lee, too. But he's pretty extreme! His earlier novels like GHOULS are among some of my favorites. The banter between the cops is that one is great. |

Tim, I just finished Hive, and thought it was one of the best books I read all year. I just started The Spawning and you've got me wanting to read the rest of this series ASAP! Thanks for the great writing. |

Cool! I'm glad you like the book. The next one should be out next fall, I'm guessing. Thanks for picking up the books. |
