This seems like a good enough time to mention what I'm up to now. I recently pulled the first two Hive books and Dead Sea from ESP. I did it with a heavy heart because William Jones is a friend of mine. But he's been going through a lot of medical problems the past few years and ESP obviously has not been his primary concern nor should it have been. I wish William only the best and very much hope to work with him again in the future.

But I needed to push some projects forward.

Gary Lucas at Severed Press asked me if I'd be interested in putting out the Hive books with him (Dead Sea, too), in preparation for a 3rd Hive book. So, yes, I went for it. So currently I'm revising Hive. It will be an expanded, revised edition. I've always wanted to add some things I left out originally and work in some new ideas to bring it more in line with Hive 2 and where I want to take the series. It'll be a much bigger book and, I think, better in many ways. The old version will still be floating around for years to come in case the stripped-down original version is preferred.

I'm also going to be making a few changes to Hive 2. Nothing will be deleted, just a few additions.

Dead Sea. Probably a few additions to this as well as I had another story line that I lkiked out originally. The book will be the same but with a few extra subplots.

So that's what I'm currently doing as I make ready to jump into Hive 3 later this year.

Very Nice! I hope Severed Press gives them the push they deserve.

Revisions and additions. Looks like I'll be getting the new editions when they come out.

I know what I'm doing with Hive is a step-up. What I'll be doing with Dead Sea will not change the story really, it's just a cool historical thing I wanted to do originally that ties in with what's going on in the "present' in the book.

Dead Sea, one of the best horror novels EVER written!

What ttzuma said. Dead Sea was easily my favorite horror novel in years. I found myself actually caring about the characters. The encounter with the ET (hopefully not a spoiler) was one of the best written scenes I've read in any horror book.
