My first Raine's Landing novel -- 'Dark Rain' from Eos HarperCollins -- came out last September. It did decent trade, received a lot of pretty ecstatic reviews, and garnered me a good handful of emails via my website from folk who loved the book and wanted to know if there is going to be more. (A lot of these, by the way, were from women who really warmed to one of the central characters, the tough and hard-headed Cassandra Elspeth Mallory).

Well, the answer to that is definitely yes! RL Book #2 -- 'Night of Demons' -- was completed in February. I've already seen the cover copy and the copy edit. There's brilliant artwork by a guy fairly new to Eos (although that won't get final approval until some time around the middle of the year; the marketing people and suchlike have to okay it, and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed they do). And the novel will be on the shelves in November. I'm keeping track of its progress on my blog, .

The bound galleys for the latest Raine's Landing novel are due shortly, and I'll be looking for reviewers, by the way. Anyone interested?
