Thanks, John. When I found out you were a Phillies fan, I should've asked about the Eagles. Vermeil comes from my valley, I played at the junior college he coached at the year before he came. That's years ago, when it didn't sound like pop corn popping when I got up. If you do like football, you will appreciate an epigram in LOST TRIBE by Ray Lewis. Gene |

Friday (Dec 12th) sometime Fear Zone will post an interview of me. It actually gives a little synopsis of everything coming up by Bad Moon Books and others.I think it has some details about THE CONFESSIONS OF ST. ZACH and LOST TRIBE not spelled out elsewhere. BMB has a handful of ZACHs left and a few copies of LOST TRIBE unordered (both would be nice presents for discerning readers). I'd liked to wish all my readers and Horror World fans the very best holiday season, and thank you for your support. Gene |

Oops! Actually the Fear Zone interview will be posted tonight--December 17th--at midnight. I think it has the most up to date listing of upcoming books--and a little summary of each. I'm currently working on a novella, DOUBLE JACK, which will be a bonus for the lettered boxed set of SHADOW OF THE DARK ANGEL & DEATHFLASH. it's going well, and I think it will please even the hard core fan. Jack is a bad boy...a very *big* bad boy. Hope everyone has a good holiday season. Thanks for the wonderful support. Gene http://www.fearzone.com/blog/gene-oneill |

An update on several projects. First, BMB: I am finishing up in the next few weeks DOUBLE JACK, which initially looked to be a short story bonus for a lettered boxed edition including the novels SHADOW OF THE DARK ANGEL and DEATHFLASH (out April 2009 and Sept 2009); anyhow the story is going to be a full-fledged novelet, perhaps even reaching novella length--so BMB lettered suscribers will get their money's worth on this one. It may even be a decent book. Also, am negotiating for another collection of my newest short stories and the most recently finished novel NOT FADE AWAY--more on that soon. And I've signed contracts and will be journeying into the digital darkness with an original chapbook --more on that real soon. Also, Mike McBride, Gord Rollo, and I have been kicking around ideas for a collaboration--chapbook range. Would that interst any of you Horror World fans? Gene |

Be on the lookout also at the beginning of March for a new title announcement for a new Gene O'Neill title! |

See, now I have to wait for my O'Neill Fix, cuz I ordered Little Graveyard at the same time. so I have to wait till that's in to get my order shipped out. From now on I order one at a time. Lucky for me it sound like it will be only an extra week or two. SEE WHAT YOU DO TO ME GENE!!!!!! |

Sorry, Slim, my bad, man. Things will be coming fast and furious in the next year and a half. Whenever you get the books, please send in your reaction. Since the actual number of readers is very limited, I really appreciate each and every response. BMB now has 3 copies--as of yesterday--left of LOST TRIBE and none of THE CONFESSIONS OF ST. ZACH. But as of this morning HM has 3 copies of COSZ and & 7 of LT. So it goies, Gene |

Horror Mall has just posted for sale my digital chapbook, BLOODY REDEMPTION. For those who haven't tried my stuff it might be an inexpensive trial ($2.49). For those familiar the book is different, one of the stories a tribute to the great Ed Lee. Thanks for all the great support, Gene http://www.horror-mall.com/BLOODY-REDEM ... 19064.html |

Well folks all the Lost Tribe titles have been shipped out! Even those of you who ordered Little Graveyard on the Prairie will be getting theirs soon. After the dust has settled we have 4 copies left here with us. But if you want in a super duper uber secret the author Gene O'Neill has copies available that he will personalize to you. If you are interested please drop him a line here or you can email him at G.ON@earthlink.net the price is $50 and that includes postage. How cool is that you get a numbered copy, personalized by Gene and shipping included...dang maybe I should get one |

Yes, Liz is right, I have a couple of new copies of Lost Tribe available. But I'll sweeten the deal for the first to e-mail me. $50. I pay the postage, and will include an unread copy of WHITE TRIBE, the novella that is the basis of LOST TRIBE. And I'll inscribe that copy of WHITE TRIBE (you screw up the value of LOST TRIBE with an inscription). First come, first served. Oh, I'll be non-responding from my e-mail from 3 March until 24 march. Good review tt. I thought you would enjoy Gene's work. Who wouldn't? I would have to say to give Lost Tribe a try...see Gene, I knew I get it right one of these days...I think you'll fine the same kind of writing there. |

Thanks! I do plan on getting to Lost Tribe. I downloaded his two short stories and plan to read them soon also. Collected Tales was a fantastic read, I enjoyed Burden as well as the connected short stories. |

Roy just forwarded the contracts for a collection of my newer stuff, including the short novella, DOUBLE JACK. It will be called DOUBLE JACK AND OTHER STORIES, and probably scheduled for late 2010. Also he sent along a contract for NOT FADE AWAY, the novel I recently finished. Guess this will be published late 2010 also. Currently I'm working on a novella in the Cal Wild mythos for a project with two other writers that hasn't been announced by the publisher yet. We've signed contracts--novellas in by June 15th. This is gonna be a good'un! It will be one of those deals of so many trade paperbacks, limited hardbacks, and lettered editions based on actual pre-orders during the open period. With the names and reputations of the other two writers this ain't gonna be a problem. Gene |

Thanks, John. It's fun working with Roy and Liz on the Bad Moon Books titles--they're doing really outstanding work. I've locked in my reservations for the Stokers in June at Burbank. Gord Rollo and I will be rooming together, which means among other things I have to remember my ear plugs. I think CONFESSIONS OF ST. ZACH may be in the most competitive category for a Stoker--all really great stories, a pleasure just to be named to the final ballot with the other three. Should be fun. On a non-BMB note: I've just read my son's very brief but excellent introduction of San Francisco's notorious Tenderloin for my Apex Books collection, TASTE OF TENDERLOIN. As an aside I've a included a short Afterword, a little note about each story and how the title came about. ARCs are going out now, the book scheduled for a 1st of September release but available at Context at the end of August (I'm still working on making that con in Columbus, Ohio--matter of finding the money). This should be up for pre-ordering soon. Gene |
