The far greater precentage of authors have a five or less book span with Leisure. The law of diminished returns means that each successive novel does a little less business than the previous one. Leisure makes most of their money off newbie authors who come in without any sales record, so their first couple of books have big print runs. Once a sales track is in place, each book sells less until the author is out. Leisure isn't much for coddling careers.
