Tom, I always lend my Dad my books when I finish them. He usually doesn't like them because they tend to be Leisure book of the month club stuff and he finds it juevenile and worries about the amount of horror I read. But I lent him The Cold Spot and he loved it! He said "this Piccirilli guy can really write." We spent the day together and he kept asking me questions like, "Who would you cast in the movie?| (Lee Marvin when he was alive) and he kept speculating about what's going to happen in the sequel. He loved the characters of the Jonah and Chase and he made a couple jokes about himself and my son having a similar relationship. Anyway, The Cold Spot made his week which was great for me to see cause he's been a little down in the dumps since he was forced retirement from his job of 35+ years. So thanks for that. |
