I see this listed as coming out soon. You mentioned another publication from Creeping Hemlock Press. I recall some years ago you had a three book deal with Tasmaniac. I have the first two in hardcover! Can you update us on any of this stuff. I really like the small press stuff you do.............. |

WHAT MAKES YOU DIE is an offbeat crime/psychological suspense/dark fantasy novel about a screenwriter who can't make it in LA who returns to live in his mom's basement a more or less broken alcoholic trying to hold onto his precarious sanity. He has to deal with hallucinations, visions, ghosts, witches, and other strange oddities that may or may not be in his mind. It's due to be published by Apex later this year. PALE PREACHERS and VESPERS are two zombie pieces, a novella and a novel, due out from Creeping Hemlock later this year/early next. PP is about a backwoods swamp family dealing with the rising dead. V is about an undercover CIA operative/veteran who's infiltrated the mob right as the zombie apocalypse hits. The virus seems to be religious in nature, perhaps sent by God or the Devil to destroy the world. Tasmaniac has a few other books in the queue before they'll get around to doing a third book from me. Maybe you'll see it a year or two down the line, maybe not. |

WMYD sounds perfect! It looks like a TBP of this will be very welcome in my house! I bought out Tasmaniac's TPB print run of THE NOBODY some time ago. It's worked out for me. I still have around 5 copies. His hardcovers are excellently produced, I am very happy to have been 1 of 26 lettered owners. With the McBean stuff I had to let it go to some other happy reader. It will be a hot day on earth when somebody manages to get those two slip-cased little beauties out of my collection! Creeping Hemlock seems to be a good fit. CORPSE BLOSSOMS was a quiet creeping terror. I paid them for a S/L, and when it appeared it wasn't forthcoming I asked for my money back. They rebated me ASAP. They are currently in full zombie mode and I am looking forward to your take on the subject. The Sevins are a class act. With you, Brian Hodge, and Charlee Jacob not publishing much horror lately I have been having mucho troubleo finding a great read. I guess that's a personal problem..................
