A lady at my work was in a car accident. She was off a couple weeks and we thought she was coming back. No physical injuries although her husband broke bone(s) and the car was totalled. A month later, she still hasn't come back. They posted her position today because she is going to be away for a few months. So I heard from a credible source that she is having a difficult time mentally coping with the accident. She keeps replaying it in her head and and wondering what would have happened if her child had been in the car. Really. Months off, taxpayer dime. *shaking my head* |

Depending on the severity of the accident, yes, 6 months could be her recovery period. She may be on the government dime but she's not going to have a job to come back to. I remember when I was almost hit head-on. I couldn't be in a car at night because every time I saw the headlights from an oncoming car, I would freak out. It took a while but I finally got over it. My car was totaled because I veered out of the way and my car went down a hill and hit a tree. |
