sacred-agony2“Sacred Agony” is a survival horror game where the player takes control of the soul with the ability to possess creatures and people on its path. The goal of the game is to bring back memories and escape from Hell. Players on this journey will visit four completely different environments. The project will debut on PS4, Xbox One and PC (Windows).

Sacred Agony has the ambition to become an amazing, AAA video game with unique gameplay and a dark story. First person perspective will give players an immersive experience, which was tested and well received in similar survival horror games.

Development will require 18 team members and 15 months of production, with release date set for December 2016.

Sacred Agony wouldn’t have made it this far if not for the support of gamers, the press, and fellow developers. Since the original prototype, we have changed the graphic engine to the latest version of Unreal Engine 4, and completed our vision of the game.

Kickstarter will give us the opportunity to create a game that will be 100% OUR vision of the product. Going to investors usually more into krypto trading and huge game developers always gives a result of many compromises and kills creativity. This is the main reason why Kickstarter is the best available option.

STORY

Players will begin their journey as a tormented soul without any memories about his past. Ability to control people on his path (including simple minded demons) gives players the necessary measures to survive in extreme conditions. By exploring hostile environments and talking with weary men, the hero will soon understand that there is only one way to escape from Hell, and it will require a meeting with the mystical Red Goddess who rules a segment of hell.

GAMEPLAY

Players have ability to choose from three different forms, which will completely change gameplay experiences. From weak human to almost immortal to powerful demon. Why not!

Ethereal soul

Playing in this form makes the player temporarily immortal and gives the ability to take control of people and demons. The player can levitate and become invisible from enemies.

Martyr

Taking control of the humans will be main part of the game. In this form, players need to be careful and move in silence. Martyr can use torch, swim under water, holding his breath, resolve puzzles and even make traps. He also has the ability to discover secret chambers, find hidden paintings and collectibles and he has a special stealth movement.

Martyr is the weakest body that a player can control, so he is forced to hide from powerful demons and he must be careful at every step.

Demon

Controlling this strong, almost immortal creature is hard, but gives many abilities needed to make progress. Demon can collect hearts and this gives him one chance to overcome death. As an example, the player can fall from an huge mountain and hit the ground but if he has at least one heart collected, he can survive this.

Demon is a very fast and aggressive creature, which can use telekinesis and his own hands to kill anyone in its path.

Also, the player can upgrade their abilities in three main parameters:

Sound – reduces sound that player makes as a Martyr

Breath – increases amount of time that player can play without making a breath (useful for swimming and hiding)

Defence – gives the option to survive attacks from weaker demons
