Demons with Shotguns debuts on Steam Greenlight with over 1,100 ‘Yes’ votes in just the first week!
Demons with Shotguns is a fast paced competitive 2D arena platformer where you battle for the souls of your friends. Armed with a powerful shotgun, a bullet deflecting shield and a explosive holy water grenade, 2-4 players will battle it out in multiple game modes across multiple interactive arenas, each with unique environmental hazards and mechanics.
“Demons with Shotguns is our answer to ‘what if the old school 90s arena shooters were released on SNES instead? What would that game look like?’ said Nicholas DiMucci, Lead Developer at MindShaft Games. “Local multiplayer games have seen a big resurgence as of late and we feel Demons with Shotguns stands on its own, not only with its frantic, twitch style shooting action, but with the expansive game modes and arenas we’re developing.”
“The response we’ve received on Steam Greenlight has been incredible so far,” said Nicholas DiMucci. “It’s just overwhelmingly positive. It’s clear players are eager to get the game on Steam.”
Demons with Shotguns will include up to 40 different arenas across 4 different environments, each uniquely interactive. Players will be able to play up to 7 game modes, including classic modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag (dubbed appropriately, Capture the Soul), as well as game modes unique to Demons with Shotguns such as Soul Reaping, where players fight to drain opponents of their soul energy, while trying to maintain their own.
